Jeakins Weir has been involved in main contracting since 1973, and has built up an excellent reputation in building schools, factories, houses, offices and hospitals. We understand our client's needs and work closely with the design team in order to provide our clients with the desired product, within budget and on programme.
Jeakins Weir is also involved in refurbishment works and has successfully developed these operations into Partnerships with Social Housing Landlords in order to meet the Government's Decent Home requirements.
Our general contracting arm also carries out Design and Build works. We carry Professional Indemnity insurance and enjoy excellent relationships with local design consultants. Together we form an experienced and close team and deliver our clients' requirements to the highest standards.

The construction of a new sports hall and changing rooms for Milton Keynes Council, was awarded on a traditional contract basis and involves innovative construction methods including a solar powered heating system.

Stafford Leys Infants' School, Leicester, for Leicestershire County Council.
Design and Build project using non-traditional construction materials to dramatic effect. This project was successfully completed on an occupied school campus, with limited access to the site.

'Decent Homes' refurbishment of Sheltered Housing, Hearnden Court, Wellingborough.
The project is operating on a partnering contract with the Borough Council of Wellingborough and involves new extensions and the complete remodelling of the Council’s Sheltered Housing. Phase 1 was completed in April 2006; Phase 2 will be completed in September 2006.
